as well as over a thousand of repaired ones were transferred to the military by the Foundation in partnership with workshops, volunteers, friends, and associates, as of January 2024

The Slots City Foundation team organized free repairs of damaged UAVs for the military. The Foundation’s partners in this program are the Vector-Optical Laboratory (VOL) and several drone repair workshops.

Repair is an effective solution for the rational use of equipment, which is often in short supply on the front lines. For example, the average cost of new DJI Mavic 3 is $2,500, while prices for DJI Matrice start at $5,000 and, depending on the configuration, can reach $25,000. Repair costs typically amount to less than 10% of the cost of new drones.

“We are very pleased that Slots City Foundation shares our vision and supports this project on a systematic basis,” says Alexandra Brysova, CEO of the charitable foundation VOL, which has been repairing optoelectronic devices for the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2015. Thanks to the joint program with Slots City Foundation from July to November 2023, this laboratory restored 1037 drones with a total value of 161.64 million UAH or $4.4 million. In total, in 2023, within this partnership program, volunteers provided the army with 1299 refurbished drones.
