The air target detection system from Slots City Foundation protects the skies of Chernihiv
Volunteers from Slots City Foundation have provided Ukrainian air defense units with a portable enemy air target detection system. It now safeguards the Ukrainian skies within the rapid response unit of Chernihiv’s air defense.
“Our unit specializes in dealing with drones, cruise missiles, and one of the main aspects of our work is adequate technical equipment,” says Vitaliy Kadyk, founder of the rapid response unit of Chernihiv’s air defense. “Currently, in cooperation with Slots City Foundation, a modern system for detecting air targets has been installed in the Chernihiv region, capable of detecting both drones and cruise missiles, as well as aircraft. For this, we are very grateful to Slots City Foundation and all the people who help,” he added.
“The air target detection system for Chernihiv is not the first assistance from our Foundation with military equipment,” says Artem Stohniy, director of Slots City Foundation. “Recently, we provided handheld grenade launchers to the 122nd Brigade in Odesa, and earlier – a series of military equipment for reconnaissance special units. We hope that this and other regular assistance from Slots City Foundation will contribute to the defense of our land against terrorist attacks from Russia.”
In total, during the Foundation’s operation, assistance to the army and displaced persons has exceeded 90 million UAH. Volunteers from Slots City Foundation purchase equipment and gear for the needs of the army, assist hospitals and clinics with medical supplies for soldiers, and also collect humanitarian aid for displaced persons. There is also a separate program to support the army with drones: the Foundation sponsors the purchase of new drones and their repair for the military.
