Slots City Foundation initiates serial procurement of Ukrainian buggies for the military
This buggy, a versatile off-road vehicle, is a small lightweight car that traverses rough terrain, designed by a Ukrainian veteran himself. The soldier was injured in combat, and after treatment, he took up assisting the army from the rear – he began producing such lightweight all-terrain vehicles. The first model has already successfully passed tests and is preparing for deployment to the front lines. Meanwhile, volunteers from Slots City Foundation have purchased all the necessary parts and engines to help the veteran start serial production of Ukrainian buggies for the military.
The serial Ukrainian buggy will be all-wheel drive and equipped with a diesel engine. “The production of Ukrainian buggies for the front lines is our new partnership project,” says Artem Stohniy, a volunteer and director of Slots City Foundation. “We have already ordered parts and engines from Germany. Such production will cost half as much as Western counterparts, which we purchase for the army abroad.”
Repair and retrofitting of equipment for the front lines alongside craftsmen are specialties of the Foundation. This year, Slots City Foundation launched a program to finance technical developments for the army. The first projects were the development of a missile system and remote control of a tank machine gun. Additionally, Slots City Foundation is developing programs with partner craftsmen for the repair of drones, vehicles, and watercraft for the military. In total, during its operation, the Foundation, together with partner repair shops, repaired over 100 vehicles, including medical evacuation vehicles, trucks, and armored vehicles. In December 2023, the assistance fund from Slots City Foundation volunteers for the military and displaced persons exceeded 14 million hryvnias, and in total, during its operation, it exceeded 150 million hryvnias.
