Humanitarian Aid from the Slots City Foundation: 12.5 tons per Year
During the year of work, volunteers and friends of the Slots City Foundation bought, collected and handed over 12 tons of 550 kg of humanitarian aid to the displaced persons. A total of 3,168 need applications were processed during this time.
Thanks to the work of volunteers and friends of the Slots City Foundation, more than four thousand people received food kits. In addition to that, 345 military personnel received non-food donations (underwear and medicines) in military hospitals. Three people who found themselves in extremely difficult life circumstances received increased assistance.
Additionally, thanks to the volunteers of the Slots City Foundation, 170 children from IDP families received gifts for Christmas, St. Nicholas Day and the New Year. 35 gifts were donated for a children’s celebration. 106 goodie bags went to military personnel in hospitals of the Kyiv region, 50 children attended a holiday with entertainers and sweets on August 30. And finally, 400l of hydrogen peroxide, we went to the hospital, which provides first aid to our defenders.
This year, volunteers delivered aid to all regions of Ukraine that the displaced people moved to. The majority went to Kyiv and the Kyiv region (328), as well as to Kharkiv and the region (227), to Zaporizhia (103), Cherkasy (80) and Chernihiv (76).
“The circumstances under which people turn to the Foundation are extraordinary, and we try to help each of them, to the best of our volunteers’ abilities” – says the director of the Foundation, Stanislav Andreev. “Sometimes it seems that even in the most difficult circumstances, Ukrainians find the strength to support others. For example, a woman from Kherson recently contacted the Fund, asking for adult diapers for her seriously ill father. In response to the parcel from our volunteers, she wrote back that, unfortunately, her father had passed away… And she sent the parcel back to the Foundation with a request to forward it to another person who is currently in need. Such stories cannot leave anyone indifferent, and every time they give our team the strength to continue helping”.
As a reminder, in 2022, the volunteers of the Foundation also made over 100 transfers to the front, including 30 units of vehicle, particularly armored reconnaissance, patrol cars and trucks, 19 drones, 9 thermal imagers, 7 generators, as well as other equipment, tools and clothing for fighters. In total, volunteers spent over 20 million UAH during the year of the Fund’s operations for the Army and humanitarian assistance to displaced persons.
