Chance of saving lives: 50 million hryvnias in assistance to the army from Slots City
Over the course of 15 months, the volunteers of Slots City Foundation provided assistance totaling over 50 million hryvnias. The support included purchasing vehicles and equipment for individual brigades and military units, aiding medics in treating our defenders, contributing funds to the Drone School for free military training, and assisting displaced people. The Foundation’s director, Artem Stogniy, mentioned that they started working to help the army from the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and their team has been dedicated to using every penny of the 50 million hryvnias effectively to protect the soldiers and move closer to victory.
The funds provided by the volunteers and friends of Slots City Foundation were used to purchase various equipment for different ZSU brigades, including drones, vehicle repairs, charging stations, Starliners, night vision devices, thermal imagers, rangefinders, and specialized equipment such as boats and carriages. The volunteers also provided combat gear, stoves, food, clothing, tires, and spare parts for the soldiers. The record month was May 2023 when they contributed over 10 million hryvnias for the needs of the Armed Forces and humanitarian assistance. The first donation of 1 million hryvnias was made in March 2022 to the “Come Back Alive” Foundation.
The assistance was provided to various military units, including Azov Special Operations Regiment, Ukrainian Volunteer Army, Marine Infantry Units, Naval Special Forces, National Guard, Airborne Assault Forces, reconnaissance units, and others. The help also extended to the Special Purpose Regiment “Herts”, United Assault Brigade “Lyut”, and charitable organizations, hospitals, and displaced individuals.
