511 drones, 36 cars, 121 charging stations, and more: Slots City Foundation volunteers report for the year 2023
In 2023, Slots City Foundation volunteers collected over a thousand targeted transfers for the military and displaced persons. They mainly provided drones (511 new and over a thousand repaired in partnership with workshops), vehicles, and watercraft (purchased and repaired with friends and partners of the Foundation, damaged at the front), purchased equipment and gear for brigades, humanitarian aid for displaced persons and residents of settlements affected by hostilities. Additionally, the Foundation assisted medics treating soldiers.
“Our volunteers began assisting the army from the first days of the full-scale invasion,” recalls Artem Stohniy, the Foundation’s director. “From the first contribution of a million hryvnias to the ‘Come Back Alive’ fund to the present day, volunteers have not only systematized assistance to the army in the form of targeted procurement, repairs, and the development of technical innovations, but also organized an entire network of partnerships. Together, we help the military 24/7, deliver humanitarian aid to the displaced and wounded, collaborate with medics and other volunteer organizations.”
In a year, Slots City Foundation volunteers processed over 250 individual requests from military personnel and sent over 900 transfers of targeted humanitarian aid. Among the main directions of assistance from the Foundation and its friends and partners in 2023 were:
– purchase of 511 new drones and a drone repair program,
– purchase of 36 cars and a car repair program,
– purchase and repair of over 30 watercraft,
– purchase of 36 thermal imagers,
– purchase of 121 charging stations,
– purchase of 76 Starlinks,
– transfer of funds to charitable organizations,
– humanitarian aid for displaced persons,
– equipment for the military,
– purchase of medicines and equipment for medics treating soldiers.
In addition, volunteers and friends of Slots City Foundation purchased military equipment, assisted inventors, and found components for the serial production of Ukrainian technical developments. Among the recipients of assistance from volunteers, friends, and partners of the Foundation were Azov Special Operations Regiment soldiers, Ukrainian Volunteer Army, Marine Corps units, Naval Forces, National Guard, Airborne Assault Troops, Military Intelligence, several Special Operations Forces units, and other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total amount of assistance from volunteers, partners, and friends of the Foundation since the beginning of the full-scale invasion exceeded 150 million hryvnias.
