“Thank you for your help, especially for children’s stuff”, such letters come to our mail in response to parcels with help from friends and volunteers of the Slots City Foundation. Refugees and displaced persons are the least protected today: they have no job, no home, no stable income.
“We try to help them with everything we can. They mainly turn to the Fund with requests for children’s goods (diapers, food), household chemicals and medicines. We try to process all the requests that come to us on the site,” says Stanislav Andreev, director of the Slots City Foundation.
He admits, that friends and volunteers of the Foundation process around 150-300 requests per month. Check per a request varies from 300 to 2000 hryvnias. “We help with the goods they ask for, send them by mail or bring them ourselves,” adds Stanislav.
Humanitarian aid is one of the main areas of work of friends and volunteers of the Slots City Foundation since October. The second program is the purchase of drones for the needs of specific military units of the Armed Forces. Aid related decisions are made by the Supervisory Board of the Foundation based on the consideration of applications received directly from those in need.
Slots City Foundation is a charity fund of the Slots City gambling brand, which was one of the first in the Ukrainian gambling entertainment markets to start donating part of its funds to charity. With the beginning of martial law, all charitable projects of the Foundation were reoriented to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fund buys cars, drones, equipment for fighters and humanitarian aid for displaced people.
