Andriy Kucher is a successful businessman who has a wife, a child, and everything one could wish for. But when the enemy attacked our land, Andriy did not hesitate that his place was on the battlefield, so he went to serve in the airborne assault troops (79 brigade).
In the front’s Eastern direction, together with his companions, Andriy underwent a very difficult battle. Andriy came out alive but seriously wounded his arm and shoulder, which prevented him from returning to the front. The treatment lasted a while, but the hand could not fully recover. Andriy could not accept the fact that he would no longer be able to fight for his country.
One day, he met a military friend who was trained to pilot drones at the UA Drone School. Managing the “birds” was quite within Andriy’s ability despite the injury, so he decided to give it a try. He began to learn to pilot drones, and it was a great rehab. Andriy felt that he would be able to pursue his dream and return to the front as a UAV operator. In addition to drone training, he received a control panel and a simulator license for home training as a gift from the co-founders of the school.
Andriy has now completed his studies and is waiting for his return to the front. He will approach our victory as an aerial scout or a strike drones pilot. He can’t wait to help his combat brothers in missions.
Andriy also founded a public organization called Union of the wounded military personnel of Ukraine “Strong 300”.
In total, 20 military personnel are currently taking courses at the UA DRONE SCHOOL. Over 700 drone operators have already successfully completed their training.
UA Drone School is a project of the public organization Advanced Defense that was launched in April 2022 in response to the challenges of the Russian aggression against Ukraine. UA Drone School is part of the state project Army of Drones.
During the past year, volunteers of the Slots City Foundation have delivered over 100 items to the front, including 19 drones, 30 vehicles, trucks, thermal imagers, generators, as well as other equipment and clothing for fighters. Since January, the Fund has started providing special support to the School of Drones.
Together, we are approaching our victory!
